The British Olympic Association’s President HRH The Princess Royal welcomed over 500 guests to the stunning setting of the Natural History Museum in London for a star studded night of entertainment at the BOA’s eighth annual Olympic Gold Ball on Wednesday 8th October.

With the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games fresh in the mind, the evening was a celebration of the success achieved in China and no less than 23 of Team GB’s medal winners were present. They were joined by a further 19 British Olympic legends from the past, representing over four decades of British Olympic success.

As in past Gold Balls, we supplied an exclusive gift for all attendees. Briefed to create a product that reflected British success at The Games, we got our creative hats on and came up with some medal-worthy postcard packs. Each pack contained cards with imagery of Team GB’s 47 medal winners. The packaging continues the well-established Gold Ball theme.

Creative Emporium account manager Gavin Faulkner, who is responsible for looking after the BOA, attended the event: “I’m very happy to report that we received a lot of positive feedback on our work for the BOA. The postcard packs went down really well.” Working with the BOA is something everyone at Creative Emporium is proud of. Gavin continues: “We’re all big sports fans and followed the coverage from China this year. It was great to see products we’d worked hard on getting used by the team and seeing this broadcast on national TV.”
