Marie Curie at the Royal Parks Half Marathon

On Sunday 11 October at 9.30am, celebrities including: Gordon and Tana Ramsay, Nell McAndrew, James Cracknell and Beverley Turner, Ben Fogle, Alesha Dixon, Charley Boorman, Jeremy Edwards, and Zoe Salmon lined up alongside 15,000 runners to take part in the second Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon.
Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, the 13.1 mile route runs across four of London’s Royal Parks - Hyde Park, St. James’s Park, Kensington Gardens and Green Park. Runners were able to take in some of London’s most historic landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, Marble Arch and the Royal Albert Hall.
Argon Promotions were contacted by Marie Curie Cancer Care in the hope that we could assist them with some valuable track-side exposure. This came in the form of some fantastic Marie Curie promotional exhibition bags. These were later filled with promotional products and goodies and given to 250 of the runners on completion of the race.
The money that Marie Curie raised will help their nurses continue to provide care to terminally ill patients and their families in their own homes - free of charge.
