Research finds promo products work hardest!
Posted by: hannah on 14/02/11 at 10:48Recent research undertaken by the US based Advertising Specialty Institute has found that promotional products are more cost effective than TV, radio and print advertising. The study entitled “2010 Global Advertising Specialties Impressions Study” surveys what promotional products consumers get given, which ones they keep and for how long in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK.
Some of the key findings were:
- Identifying the advertiser- In the US, 83% of people surveyed could identify the advertiser on a promotional item, in the UK this was even higher at 94%
- Nearly two thirds of UK respondents from the UK have received and kept a pen in the last 12 months. In the US pens were used the most, an average of 18.2 times per month
- The most popular products among UK respondents are writing instruments (63%), shirts (27%) and calendars (24%)
Timothy M Andrews, President and Chief Executive Officer of ASI, says “Our 2010 study once again proves the undeniable power of promotional products. Even smaller companies can deliver the kind of high impact punch enjoyed by multi-million-dollar companies”.
